Giuseppe Rossi was born on September 8, 1993 in Avellino, Italy. He is a director, producer, writer and editor.
Graduated with a Master's degree in Philosophy at Sapienza University of Rome in 2019 and in Film Directing at Libera Università del Cinema of Rome in 2016. When he was still in high school, his short film 'Antiora' won the MyGiffoni Award at the Giffoni Film Festival 2010. He wrote, directed and edited a lot of short films such as the dark animation 'Voodoo Love Story' (finalist at Nastri D'Argento Awards 2015), the psychological thriller 'Chromotherapy' and the action fantasy 'Blue Crystel' (winner of many international awards for best visual effects). He also directed 3 music videos for La Janara band. In 2020 Rossi founded the 2D & 3D Animation Film Festival and directed the documentary '90 Seconds' about the 1980 Irpinia earthquake (selected at the Capri, Hollywood Film Festival 2020). His major artistic influences are Steven Spielberg, Tim Burton, Christopher Nolan, Federico Fellini and Mario Bava. He is a member of AIR3 (Italian Directors Guild). Currently he is attending the Master in Film & Television Production at Luiss Business School in Rome. |
