2D & 3D Animation Film Festival is an international festival for animated short films founded by Giuseppe Rossi and sponsored by Rotaract Club Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi Hirpinia Goleto. The festival takes place in Irpinia, Italy. Every year the festival has in the official selection short films from the best animation schools in the world such as Gobelins, Cal Arts, Ringling College, MoPA, ArtFX, BigRock, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, including also Oscar® nominated shorts.
The competitive categories are:
-2D & 3D Animation
-2D Animation (for traditional animation)
-3D Animation (for computer animation)
The main focus of the festival is on films that combine both 2D and 3D animation. 3D that looks like 2D (in the style of The Peanuts Movie, Madagascar, Hotel Transylvania, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Wild Robot) or 2D that looks like 3D (in the style of Klaus).
